the ipanema is a great family hotel with comfy beds and a tasty breakfast buffet. the family suite worked perfectly for us, and the staff were prompt, even if a bit curt. it's also close to many restaurants offering lunch specials, which was super convenient.

Cigarette smoke from nearby rooms wafted into our room, which was a major turn-off for a supposedly non-smoking hotel. The air conditioning struggled to cool the room effectively, leaving us with no choice but to open the windows, which let in excessive street noise. Room cleaning began too early for comfort, risking the security of our belongings when we weren't ready to leave. parking fees of €12 per day felt steep, especially given the cramped space provided for cars. the vibes leaned more corporate than cozy, lacking the warmth and charm typically expected from a stay in this setting.

Good hotel in a central area with access to shopping centers, theatres, and the famous Casa da Musica. The swimming pool and bar on the 15th floor have stunning views and a great vibe. Breakfast offers a fantastic selection. Easy metro access made exploring a breeze, and we loved visiting the nearby sport center.

Check-in was quick, but I witnessed a guest's unfortunate situation. Their passport was stolen, and the hotel's strict cancellation policy remained unaffected. It seemed rather cold-hearted given their circumstances.

This place was just a good match for a weekend trip in Porto with the best value for money ratio. The rooms are spacious and come with a refrigerator, which was really convenient for storing snacks. Try to connect to the Wi-Fi in the lobby instead of your room for better speeds.
